Kim is a Certified General Appraiser managing engagements, client interaction, and direct oversight of appraisal engagements. Starting her career in 1991 as an appraiser research assistant, she has expanded her knowledge and education to become a Certified General Appraiser licensed in both Illinois and Indiana. She has appraised over 500 different investment and non-investment grade properties totaling over 4 million square feet. Kim has developed specific appraisal expertise in areas of commercial, industrial, office, retail, auto dealerships, restaurants, vacant land, mobile home parks, campgrounds, apartments, shopping centers, subdivisions, hotel/motel, agricultural, religious, golf courses, nursing homes, and other complex and special purpose properties.
Appraisal clients include medium to large corporate clients in the areas of savings and loans, banks, land trusts, municipalities, highway departments, equity investors, and national park services to name a few. She has testified at the local and state level as an expert witness on matters of condemnation, real property tax appeal, and damages. Working with financial institutions and other regulatory agencies, Kim ensures the use of acceptable appraisal methodologies and techniques that comply with all regulatory requirements and bank policies including the Appraisal Foundation, The Office of the Comptroller of Currency, the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice, and the Financial Institutions Reform, Recovery, and Enforcement Act of 1989.
Client support, project management, and the ability to balance multiple projects at one time is one of her greatest strengths. When Kim is off the clock she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling to exciting vacation destinations.
